| The Awassa Youth Campus (AYC) aims to provide a safe, creative workspace for children and youth in Awassa, Ethiopia. AYC activities and programs are designed to compliment the formal education in schools by providing constructive and expressive outlets for youth. In order to actively promote awareness through creativity, AYC supports youth in developing and implementing youth-driven HIV/AIDS awareness raising campaigns in the community, throughout Ethiopia and beyond. AYC provides the tools, environment and encouragement necessary for youth to explore and develop their innate potential. AYC supports an active and aware youth culture through the promotion of creativity, physical activity, self-directed learning and critical thinking. Similar to the Shining Star Café, in essence, we aim to support an environment for like-minded individuals to explore, create and enjoy.
